My journey to Japan in March 2023, has deeply influenced me in my paintings and ideas, I didn’t had the privilege of witnessing the mesmerizing rituals and fierce battles of Sumo Wrestlers, but soon after I watched the Netflix TV series called "The Sanctuary," and I delved deeper into the intricate details of the Sumo Wrestler's way of life. The clash of tradition and modernity, the dedication and sacrifice, all became intertwined in my artistic vision Inspired by their remarkable lives of relentless devotion, I felt compelled to capture their essence on canvas.
In this painting, I sought to convey the immense strength and inner turmoil that these warriors endure. Drawing inspiration from Van Gogh's masterpiece "Starry Night," I employed bold brushstrokes to evoke a sense of movement and intensity.
